Celine Dion makes quick exit from first Toronto ACC concert in 9 years on the Taking Chances live tour

(August 27-08) Celine Dion made a triumphant return to Toronto for her first concert in the city in 9 years. Celine likes to keep very private while on tour. So there are generally no “meet-and-greet” type fan things after a Celine concert (at least, not the ones in Toronto.) A minute after the last note of her “My Heart Will Go On” encore is sung - Celine is immediately escorted from the stage to a waiting vehicle that whisks her back to a downtown hotel (pretty much before the first fan has even left their seat at the venue.) Of course, some in-the-know autograph collectors were there to greet a heavily guarded Celine on her arrival back to the hotel. An always gracious Mrs. Dion obliged their autograph and picture requests.
When on tour - and right after a concert performance, Celine has to completely rest her vocal cords for the performance the next night. So… while she didn’t talk… Celine was gracious enough to stop and sign autographs for the professional collectors who were waiting for her return to the hotel - just minutes after her “:My heart will go on” encore.
It had been a few years since I had last seen Celine. It was great to see that she was nice as always. If you care to know.. Celine is wearing the black gown in this picture she performs the Titanic encore song in. She pulled “an encore and exit” and was back to the hotel mintues after the concert ended.

CANADIANEYE from youtube shot an amazing piece - the encore “my heart will go on” from a fantastic angle last night in Toronto. The end when Celine is saying goodnight is very cool. (goto youtube and watch the high-quality - full screen to get a real sense what ACC was like last night.) AND YES.. it is the same dress as the above photos.

Ok, folks. We were asked this question a lot related to this shovine - What downtown Toronto hotel did this Celine Dion sighting take place at? Why we decided to NOT name the exact hotel was mainly for privacy concerns related to Mrs. Dion (her entourage work hard to ensure people really don’t know where she stays - why should our reporting change that?) Besides, naming the exact hotel is not important to the story. And finally, to the other hordes of fans, autograph collectors, and media all searching for her - we don’t want to help them find Celine - now or in the future.
