   It was a sad day for Soul indeed. Isaac was such a master at his craft, a man who managed to break away from the black music of his day and create a sound distinctively his own. Issac was a brilliant singer-songwriter, musician, record producer, arranger, composer, and actor and was one of the main forces behind Stax Records.
   Personalty, my favorite Isaac Hayes song, and one of my favorite tunes of all time is Issac’s version of “Walk on By”, the song is masterful to say the least, with Isaac’s amazing composition providing the backdrop for a track layered with brilliance.

   R.I.P. to a Legend…

   It’s pretty ironic that both Bernie Mac & Isaac Hayes played important parts in the upcoming film, “Soul Men”. The production company just released this still of the two legends on set together. They will be missed.
