Toronto’s Caribana Parade and Celebration -photo’s and video.
August 5, 2008
(Aug 2nd) Caribana is a festival of Caribbean culture and traditions held each summer in the city of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Annually Caribana draws hundreds of thousands of tourists from around the globe to Toronto’s lakeshore.

Well I didn’t get the chance to go to the actual Caribana Parade down at lakeshore, I did however get to take in the sights and sounds via Yonge Street, the largest street in the World.
Yonge was packed with hot cars, and some even hotter women. The dudes from the states all seemed to be rocking the candy coated rims, and cruising up and down the strip, maxing and relaxing.
The Caribana Parade was off the hook this year, I attended with my girl and her little cousins and we had a blast. It was my first time going to the parade and I was impressed by all the great costumes and culture that was on display.
A really great day, the sun was shining and lakeshore was packed with people of all walks of life, getting down and jamming together in harmony.
My favorite part of the entire afternoon must have been the amazing costumes I seen, my girlfriend is a fashion designer and to say she was inspired would be an understatement.
You gotta love the Caribana Parade, so much soul and vibrant color, people dancing and everything is so full of life! On the contrary, some of the floats delivered a more political message. I think this is beautiful. Props to my boy Ian Mack for the sick photos!!
Even white people get down with Caribana now! One Love.
Personally, I really like this one!
I snagged this funky video off youtube. Being an artist, I cant help but notice the synchronism in everybody’s movements. Its like a hypnotic mass of gyrating human flesh drawing you in, in which respect I think sexuality plays a major roll, but im not going to get into my philosophies behind dance and sociology here.
