Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Lidstrom win big at NHL Awards Show in Toronto - red carpet arrival photos and video

(June 13-08) The NHL held it’s annual Awards Show in Toronto at the Elgin Winter Garden theatre. There were even a few stars on the red carpet making there way into the event. Elisha Cuthbert (accompanied boyfriend Dion Phaneuf), The Trailer Park Boys, legendary Gordie Howe were just a few of the names spotted.

I’d say the best part of the red carpet arrivals was when they brought out the Stanley Cup for Nicklas Lidstrom and the Red Wings to walk into the show. Lidstrom does hoist the Cup above his head and the crowd went nuts - I was just a second too late shooting it.
Here is Martin Brodeur on the red carpet. He would win his 4th Vezina Trophy about an hour later.

Jarome Iginla was good about signing for the fans and collectors. The NHL Awards show really is one of the best spots on the year to get players autographs.

It was a Fan Frenzy, none the less, I was still able to get a glance at Alex Ovechkin Signing Autographs….. I think he was doin it for the kids

I dont know if this one fits here, but the day before the awards, Alex Ovechkin held an exclusive party for the release of his new clothing line, Streetwear. The Cocktail Party was held at Spice Route, 499 King Street West On Wenesday June the 11th.
